All the explanations in the world will not show you the quality you are going to receive. That you have to see. Below, find two edited sequences out of a recent wedding as well as educational examples of the difference Day in White Wedding Videography will make in capturing your wedding day. Click to play, QuickTime required.

What difference does editing make?

Achieving a well-paced, enjoyable movie is as much a matter of properly combining the shots as getting the shots themselves. On the left is an edited version of the bride's maids entering, on the right is an unedited version.

Although both play for one minute, the edited version allows the first seven bride's maids to take their positions and the eighth one begins her walk down the aisle. In contrast, the unedited version on the right only allows two bride's maids to reach their positions and the third just begins to walk down the aisle. The ability to condense time without losing important aspects is one significant function of editing.

How clear is your sound?

The difference in quality between an on-camera microphone and a wireless lapel microphone is shocking. On the left is actual footage of a wedding shot with a lapel microphone. On the right is the same wedding, shot with a consumer grade camera using the on-camera microphone. *You may have to adjust your speaker volume to hear the sound of the on-camera microphone clip.

The quality difference is obvious. Far more exciting, the wireless microphone will catch every whisper, from the groom's reaction when the bride enters to the whispered moments shared by the couple during the ceremony.

What difference does the equipment make?

Many people have asked us why they shouldn't just have a friend record their wedding with a camcorder they have at home. Professional-quality equipment captures a much cleaner picture, and nowhere is this more evident than in low lighting settings such as those found at most receptions. On the left are two clips of the married couple's exit from the reception filmed with our professional equipment. On the right, the same exit filmed by a consumer camera. The difference in the clarity of the picture, both in terms of color accuracy and amount of grain (or distortion) is obvious. It is a difference you will see throughout your video.
